EARS SERVICES
Dr. Maw and her clinical team provide comprehensive services for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of hearing and ear-related conditions.
Hearing Disorders Evaluation
The first step in treating hearing loss is to identify the underlying cause through appropriate diagnostic testing. This testing includes measuring the severity of your hearing loss through our audiology services.
Audiology Services
A standard audiogram (hearing test) is part of your initial hearing loss evaluation appointment. The audiogram results tell us what part of your hearing range is affected (low, middle, high ranges) and the severity of the hearing loss. Further specialized testing may be required for a complete evaluation and treatment assessment.
Pediatric Otology (Ear Medicine and Surgery)
Early diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss are key to a child's well-being. If you are concerned about your child's hearing, our state-of-the-art equipment can safely test even the youngest child. Our expert audiologists will communicate and work with school teachers, therapists, and counselors to ensure that your child receives the most comprehensive treatment for a hearing disorder.
Dr. Maw also specializes in surgical correction of congenital abnormalities of the ear canal and middle ear.

Related Medical Conditions
You may experience more than just hearing loss because of inner ear disorders. Dr. Maw offers diagnosis and treatment for numerous related pathologies, including balance and dizziness disorders, facial nerve disorders, and surgical treatment of acoustic tumors.
Balance and Dizziness Disorders
The inner ear is the center of balance for the body. Vestibular (inner ear) disorders can cause numerous symptoms that may adversely impact daily living. We offer diagnosis, medical and surgical treatments, and rehabilitation therapies that can reduce the severity of symptoms.
Facial Nerve Disorders
The facial nerve controls facial movement and expressions. Dr. Maw offers diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of various problems resulting from facial nerve damage or disease, including Bell's palsy, traumatic injury, tumors, and hemifacial spasm (twitching). Diagnostic testing is available that can predict the outcome of certain types of facial paralysis. Surgical decompression of Bell's palsy is offered, if indicated.
Acoustic Tumors
Acoustic tumors are tumors of the balance and hearing nerves, which are situated between the inner ear and the brain. Dr. Maw has extensive training and experience in modern surgical techniques for their removal, ensuring minimal side effects and preserving optimal hearing.
